Wrong Season, but Catching Up!
This 2 page layout covered a couple of challenges. One was the 2 page challenge at the retreat..the other a LO tag game on the scrapbook forum I belong to.
Let's see...all paper is Stampin' Up!. The red & green strips are cut using Stampin' Up!'s Tasteful Trims die for the bigshot. The titles are cut using Mini Monograms on the Cricut. The square shape around the pp is cut using the Wavy Square template from Creative Memories.

Future Table Runner
Last night was sewing night!! Having never quilted before, I doubted my friend Heather's confidence in me when she said I'd be quilting by the end of the night. But she was pretty right on. I finished 4 of these blocks from start to finish (including cutting and assembling). I hope to do the border strips and cut the backing and batting before our next sewing night on the 29th..so that I can actually quilt and finish it!!
Thanks Heather for altering the pattern size for me and for explaining everything last night!!

Back to Scrapping!
I recently returned from a scrapbooking retreat. As usual, I wasn't nearly as productive as I intended to be LOL!
One of the challenges that the retreat had was a 2 page challenge using Creative Memories product, tools or ideas inspired from their Idea Book. Since I'm not usually a 2 page person, I struggled a bit with that. However, I did manage to complete a few pages.

The squares here were cut using the Creative Memories wavy square template with the cutting system blades and a new grippy clipper thing..(sorry can't remember the exact name). But you put your pictures into it and it holds them in place while you cut around them. All paper except the pp on the titles is from Stampin' Up!
(Sorry for the blurry pics..I used my smartphone!)

Gifts for Friends!!
Another sewing project...this one took me two Sew Nights to complete. I have recently joined a sewing group that meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month. I am really loving getting back to sewing.
I made these 'litter bags' from a pattern from Squirmy Worm Studio, an etsy shop. Love how easy her pattern was to use. I made one for my sewing bag..with a pin cushion, exactly like her pattern. Then I altered the pattern by just attaching a velcro strap on two that I made for myself and fellow Scrapbooking friend (hi Arlene!) so that we could attach it to our Creative Memories Side Kick cup holders. I also made 2 more for scrapbooking friends (Hi Heather & Sharon!) that I attached to tiles to keep them on the table. All recipients loved their trash bags!! I delivered them while we were at a retreat this past weekend.
Thanks to Squirmy Worm Studio for such a user friendly pattern. I can see making a few more of these as gifts.

Long Time, No Post
Although I have done several different crafty projects lately!! I decided it was time to get back to the blog and share some of my work again. I have recently ventured back into sewing, which is hopefully going to lead me to quilting. So because of this, I have changed the name of my blog.
First up....the Rag Bag I made from recycled jeans and my Stampin' Up! Scalloped Square Die and Bigshot... I love love love how it turned out, even if its not perfect (and believe me, a close up look will prove that LOL!!)
